How Lockport Bookings Reach LPCC
Lockport runs its own police department, but the town keeps no public jail roster. Bookings land at the parish level instead. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office corrections department names the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, or LPCC, as the long-term holding site for Lockport and the parish’s other incorporated municipalities. So one arrest can leave two paper trails. Lockport Police holds the incident report. LPCC keeps the booking entry. Parish deputies, Louisiana State Police, and federal partners can also take part.
The custody portal adds a held-for-agency field. That label matters in Lockport cases, because the arresting department, the jail operator, and the agency behind an added hold can all be different. LPSO’s July 2026 release about an ATM investigation shows the pattern. Lockport Police, LPSO, and state police all took part. The arrested people were booked into LPCC, and one person carried outside and federal holds.
Where Lockport Arrest Records Appear
The town's official site offers no Lockport Police arrest roster. There is no daily feed, mugshot page, or timestamped blotter either. Meeting minutes and town notices don't fill that gap. Start with official Lafourche Parish sources instead. Each channel covers only the piece of the record it actually holds.
| Channel | What it shows | Status | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| LPSO roster | Current custody, arrest date, agency and hold details | Official; photos currently blank | Confirm a current LPCC hold |
| LPSO news | Selected arrest narratives and agency roles | Official but not complete | Read case context over several days |
| Lockport Police contact | Direct route for a town incident report | Official; no online arrest feed found | Ask for the police-held report |
| Houma Times crime archive and Lafourche Gazette | News stories and historic booking logs | Independent and periodic | Historical context, then verify |
| County-level booking mirrors | Retained entries and sometimes photos | Unofficial; may be stale | Discovery only, never custody proof |
The current roster is a snapshot, not an arrest-history database. A name appears after booking and data entry. It drops off after release. Newspaper logs and outside mirrors may keep an old entry alive. That doesn't mean the person is still jailed. For the final case result, turn to the court record.
Note: The roster shows who is in custody now. It does not show everyone arrested in Lockport on some earlier date.
Find a Lockport Arrest Booking
Start with the source closest to the custody stage. A same-day question differs from a request for an incident narrative or a case result. The roster posts no exact intake time. LPSO promises no same-day posting interval either.
- Check Arrests Last 24 Hours for the newest parish booking route, then search the official LPSO roster by name and arrest date.
- Open the hold details. Look for Lockport Police Department, LPSO, state police, or an added agency rather than assuming the jail operator made the arrest.
- If there is no match, allow for intake delay, spelling differences, release, or transfer. Call LPCC at (985) 449-4458 for custody questions.
- Ask Lockport Police for its incident or arrest report. Ask the LPSO Custodian of Records separately for the LPCC booking record or photograph.
- Check the Lafourche Parish Clerk and 17th Judicial District Court for filings, minutes, and disposition after the case reaches court.
A blank search doesn’t rule out an arrest. The person may have been released, transferred, or entered under a different spelling. Data entry can also lag. A current match shows only what the official system reports at that moment.
Lockport Police Report Requests
The Town of Lockport contact page is the direct official route. The town publishes no dedicated police records form, fee amount, or response-time promise. Give the date, location, parties, and any report number. Say which item you need. Incident report, citation, or arrest report? Pending investigative details and protected information may be withheld even when the basic booking record is public.

Lockport Police holds the report it wrote. LPSO holds the LPCC booking material. For the parish side, use the LPSO Public Records Request form. It asks for a specific date range plus identifiers such as names, dates of birth, addresses, and case numbers. The form warns that fees may apply under its fee schedule, but LPSO posts no booking-photo price. Ask for an estimate instead of assuming an amount.

- The initial account created by the investigating police agency.
- Booking record
- The jail intake record created when LPCC processes a person.
- Disposition
- The court’s final result, which may differ from the charge first booked.
When Lockport Arrests Post Online
LPCC opened in January 2019 and serves as the parish’s central long-term facility. The official roster lists an arrest date. It promises no exact booking timestamp or online-posting time. Transport from Lockport, medical or identity checks, processing, and system syncing can all separate an arrest from its appearance in the portal. LPSO has published no same-day service level.
Naming can trip up a search too. Some older state and legacy pages still point to the former Lafourche Parish Detention Center and its outdated details. Current LPSO corrections information controls. LPCC sits at 2594 Veterans Boulevard in Thibodaux. Treat the state page as background only, not as the source for the present facility address.
Note: Use an arrest date as a search aid, not as proof of the exact time someone entered the jail.
Lockport Booking Photos and Holds
The LPSO roster is not a mugshot gallery. Booking photos are temporarily off the list. The office points to a policy and system update tied to Act 494, and photo fields on live records come back blank. A copied image may survive on some outside site, but that copy says nothing about present custody or the current photo policy for Lafourche Parish jail.
Want a photo from a Lockport arrest? Ask the LPSO records custodian for the LPCC booking photograph. Lockport Police will not hold that image just because one of its officers made the arrest. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, and victim-related records may stay out of public view entirely. No booking photos are hosted or republished here.
Bond details need care too. A listed bond amount does not guarantee release. Another agency hold or a court condition can keep a person in custody anyway. A federal or state label may mark an added hold, not the department that opened the Lockport case.
Lockport Arrest News Versus Logs
Dated LPSO releases add facts a roster row lacks. They name the agencies, the booking spot, the alleged conduct, the bond, and an investigative contact. They cover selected cases only. Historical Times of Houma/Thibodaux and Lafourche Gazette logs listed name, age, address, charges, and agency. Neither offers a daily booking log now.
Parish-wide sites like Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, Mugshots.zone, JailExchange, and County Inmate Search may carry an entry labeled Lockport. None of them speak for Lockport Police. They are unofficial mirrors, and their copies can lag, drop fields, or linger after an official custody record disappears. Match every name, date, and photo against LPSO first. Then turn to court records for the outcome of the case.
The split is simple. News explains selected events, the roster answers who is in custody now, police records hold the local incident report, and the Clerk follows the prosecution.
Lockport Arrests After Release
Release from LPCC ends custody, not the case. The Lafourche Parish Clerk records search picks up the thread with criminal index entries, minutes, and available images. The 17th Judicial District Court links add court and bond resources. Online files run incomplete at times. Call the Clerk's office when a result looks unclear.
Someone sentenced into Louisiana state custody shows up elsewhere. Use LA VINE through the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections for that stage. The state search updates on its own cycle. It cannot replace a fresh Lockport or LPCC booking search. A federal transfer calls for the federal locator, not the parish roster.
